Met Building Tottenham Court Road London 2003-2005
An existing 1960’s office block for extended and completely re clad with Permasteelisa unitised cladding and Portland stone. The existing block had a low finished floor to finished floor height, which meant that the building services were difficult to upgrade to a modern standard. The solution was to move the services to the perimeter and integrate them into the curtain-wall cladding. The £14 million 110,000 sq ft scheme was completely let on completion.
